Emergency work at Moïse-Prégent house

Travaux d’urgence à la maison Moïse-Prégent

The Moïse-Prégent house, acquired in 2014 by Ville de Châteauguay, is aging rapidly and forcing the City to carry out emergency work to demolish the chimney, which threatens to collapse at any time. The work is scheduled for Friday, June 8. In the meanwhile, it is strongly advised not to approach the building for obvious reasons of security.

Considering the state of advanced decrepitude of the building located on de la Haute-Rivière Road, important decisions will have to be taken in the coming weeks to determine the future of the building. The City is also planning to launch a call for tenders, in the near future, to allow the implementation of projects replacing the house.

To follow the developments on this project, keep an eye on the City's website at www.ville.chateauguay.qc.ca/en.
