All animals put up for adoption have been examined by a veterinarian, treated for parasites, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Adoption fees apply. All the details can be found on the SPCA Roussillon website.

  • The SPCA Roussillon holds a microchipping clinic for pets every Friday. Owners can take advantage of a useful identification service to find their animals if they get lost. Implanted under the animal’s fur, the microchip is used to identify the animal’s owners so it can be returned to its family faster.

In Châteauguay, even microchipped animals must have a licence (tag).

An administrative codification is a document that combines the original text of a by-law with all the amendments made since its adoption. It has no legal weight but is, rather, a tool created solely to make it easier to read and understand the by-law as a whole. Only the original by-law and its amending by-laws have legal weight.
