From Sunday, October 24 to Sunday, October 31, Châteauguay will celebrate Halloween with lots of free activities for families and adults in the know!

Sunday, October 24 – Carnival of little monsters

On Sunday, October 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Agora will turn into a haunted village! Bring the whole family to decorate your pumpkin with the witches from the village.  Over 150 pumpkins available. Children can also try a magic potion and dance to the music by the illuminated drummers.  On top, Igor and Olga, two crazy, endearing giants will delight everyone. Free. Reservation required. People aged 13 and up are required to present a vaccine passport. Three time slots available:  11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 24 – Un drôle de sort pour Poussière la sorcière (children)

The Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge invites you on Sunday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. to come and meet Poussière la sorcière. This friendly witch likes to transform and recover objects by giving them a second life.  But an evil spell has been cast on her!  Brin d’Acier, the wizard hopes to make her think… but why? She will ask for help from her friends Mélasse the witch, Philomène the spider and even the children so that she can turn back into a witch. What will happen to her?  Cost: $5 / $2 members. Reservation required. Limited places.

Saturday, October 30 to Sunday, October 31 – Horror film all-nighter

From Saturday, October 30, 8:00 p.m. to Sunday, October 31, 8:00 a.m., horror lovers are invited to experience 12 hours of complete horror! A whole night full of terror watching cult, must-see films at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier. Special entertainment and goodies will add to the fun of seven horror films shown in French with English subtitles. Prizes drawn by lots can be won by the spectators, who must be at least 13 years old. Free – Booking by phone at 450 698-3100. Face masks and vaccine passports are mandatory.

Sunday, October 31, in the evening – Haunted house contest

For the sixth year running, Châteauguay is challenging residents to make their homes scary for Hallowe’en night! Do you like to decorate for this very special celebration? Sign up to receive a visit from the jury on the evening of Sunday, October 31, in one of the judging categories, either most beautiful decorations or best display. Residents who want to visit the registered houses on Hallowe’en night are invited to check the city’s website to find the list. For information or to register your home:
