Crime Prevention Week from November 7 to 13

Published on 05 November 2021

The Service de police de Châteauguay (SPC) will take part in Crime Prevention Week, which will be held from November 7 to 13, with the theme “20 years of partnerships for safer living environments”.

At the SPC, prevention happens all year round! Prevention activities are organized by socio-community agents in collaboration with community partners. Whether it be talks in elementary and high schools, meetings with business owners, booths in public places, visits to seniors’ centres, or awareness-raising at day camps on bicycle safety rules, there are many activities available to inform citizens on a variety of subjects.

As part of this week, the SPC is taking the opportunity to highlight the importance of partnership between the various local actors (police force, community organizations, institutional partners, municipalities, etc.) to ensure healthy and safe communities for all citizens.

The SPC website section contains information and tips related to crime prevention. For more information, you can consult it at ville.chateauguay.qc.ca/en/police-service/home/
