Waste collection, recycling and snow removal

AWARENESS FOR THE ADEQUATE MANAGEMENT OF RESIDUAL MATERIALS: The Green Team begins its tour! - MRC de Roussillon press release

Saint-Constant, June 22, 2020 - The seasonal tour of the Roussillon Regional County Municipality (MRC) green team has begun! All summer, the environmental advisors will have the main assignment of working in the field to support the MRC’s efforts of providing information, awareness-raising and education on the various types of waste collection offered by it.

The team will specifically meet with the residents of multi-unit housing buildings, businesses and institutions to give them information and answer their questions about the new collection services offered by the MRC.

The COVID-19 pandemic has also resulted in many consumer behaviour changes. We see more packaging from online businesses in the recycling bins and a general increase in residual matter generated. The team will try to raise awareness about these phenomena, while continuing to share tips and hints so that people have the best possible experience with their brown bins.

The green team will apply the prevention measures recommended in connection with COVID-19, to safely communicate with residents.

Always there for you!
If you have any questions, requests or problems related to door-to-door collections of residual materials, citizens are asked to complete the online form at: roussillon.ca/infocollectes.

You can also contact us at 514 928-5227 or infocollectes@mrcroussillon.qc.ca.

For more information on the waste collection services offered by the MRC, visit roussillon.ca.
