On Saturday, October 24, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Agora, come as a family to pick up your jack-o-lantern decoration box, in the company of some slightly scary but very funny characters! Over 150 pumpkins are available and lots of surprises will be handed out! Families must remain in their vehicle and will receive their decoration kit and pumpkin directly in the trunk.

Virtual performance, Lili Boo: la sorcière aux doigts de fée

The Raymond Laberge library invite you to visit the witchy workshop of Lili Boo.  This witch makes broomsticks for witches all around the world.  With Hallowe’en approaching, she is overloaded with work.  A visit from her friends Trapue the Frog and Magouille the Cat has slowed her down.  She needs to ask children for help.  Will Lili Boo deliver her broomsticks on time? Saturday, October 24, at 11 a.m., a link to the virtual show will be sent to you by email, 1 link per family.

Online escape game, 2 scenarios available (intermediate and expert)

Thursday, October 29, to Saturday, October 31 

Free – Reservation required 

Create a team of four to six players, in the same family bubble or virtually, and take part in this petrifying escape challenge offered by Ville de Châteauguay. Choose one of these two 90-minute-plus scenarios. In La nuit des monstres (Night of the Monsters), you have to solve puzzles to capture the monster hiding under the bed (intermediate, age 8 and up with adult supervision). In L’invocation de Bloody Mary (Summoning Bloody Mary), the forces of evil will challenge your brain power relentlessly to prevent you from completing the ritual (expert, age 16 and up).  An internet connection and a computer, tablet or smart phone are required to play.1 access per device required.

Nuit blanche Ciné d'Épouvante / Horror film all-nighter

IN FRENCH (ENGLISH SUBTITLES)

Thrill seekers and horror lovers are invited to spend the entire night shrieking and cowering at the best horror films, at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier. Special entertainment and goodies will add to the fun of six horror films, presented in French with English subtitles. Prizes worth a total of $600 will be drawn for the spectators, who must be at least 13 years old. If the maximum COVID-19 alert is extended past October 28, the activity will be cancelled. (maximum of 42 participants)

For the fifth year, Châteauguay has challenged residents to make their homes scary for Hallowe’en night! Do you like to decorate for this very special festivity? Sign up to receive a visit from the jury on the evening of Saturday, October 31, in one of the judging categories, most beautiful decorations or best staging. Please note that for safety reasons, the jury members will stay on the edge of the street to judge the decorations.  Residents who want to visit the registered houses on Hallowe’en night are invited to check the city’s website to find the list. To comply with the public health measures put in place by the government, we request that everyone remain in their vehicles during the visits and avoid gatherings.
