Info-collection

COVID-19 | As from April 17 : Bulky items will be collected again, following some restrictions :

  • If possible, wait for the end of the pandemic to dispose of the voluminous
  • Do not drop off streetside items if you have COVID-19 or symptoms
  • Drop the items 48 hours in advance at the curb to reduce the risk of spread
  • Well positioning at the curb (as usual)

It is requested that bins be taken outdoors at least 24 hours prior to collection to reduce the risk of spreading to the garbages collectors.

MRC de Roussillon will collect organic materials (brown bin) every Wednesday, starting April 8.

This weekly frequency will be in effect throughout the territory of Châteauguay, both in the Est and Nord-est sectors, until November.

Good practices to adopt
The realities of the summer season require greater rigour on the part of everyone. In order to guide you towards the efficient management of your bins and their contents, the MRC provides you with the Handy Guide to Waste Collection, containing many tips and tricks. You can also visit the Info-collectes website for general information on all MRC collections.

Since October 2019, the collection of the brown bin has been mandatory in the territory of the MRC of Roussillon.

Other collections
The cycles of recycling (blue bin) and garbage (black or green bin) collections remain unchanged. Recycling is done every Monday for both sectors, while garbage collection is always done every two weeks. Residents in the Est sector will have their waste collected on Thursdays, and those in the Nord-Ouest sector on Friday.

If you have any questions related to any of the collections, you can contact the Info-collectes line at any time by phone at 514-928-5227 or by email at infocollectes@mrcroussillon.qc.ca.
