Council Meetings

The regular meetings of the Municipal Council are generally held once a month on the third Monday at 7:00 p.m., unless otherwise announced. Special meetings may be held between the regular meetings of the council to deal with specific topics.

These meetings are chaired by the mayor or, in the mayor’s absence, by the acting mayor. The meetings are public and every citizen has the right to attend. A question period is reserved for the public at the end of every meeting. Please note that during special meetings, only questions about the topics on the agenda are permitted.

  • Resolutions adopted at a meeting do not take effect until 96 hours after their adoption. To view the originals, please file an access to information request. Resolutions may be or may have been amended or abridged at a later session.

    Minutes
The minutes posted on the website are subject to the approval of the council at the next ordinary meeting.

They are assumed to accurately reflect the signed version, but they are not official documents. For an official copy of a resolution and the minutes, you must file an access to information request.
