Day camps – Centre nautique

The Nautical Centre offers varied camp programs during the summer for different groups, to allow them to take advantage of its two sites.

  • Registration for the 2022 summer camp program will take place at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier :

    • For City residents: April 2 to 15, 2022
    • For non-residents of the City: April 16 to May 14, 2022

    In-person registration only:

    • Monday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Tuesday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Payment Method: Registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration by cash, debit or credit card or by cheque made out to the Ville de Châteauguay. No post-dated cheques will be accepted.

  • A day care service is offered in collaboration with Activ’Été. The children must be able to bike to the Nautical Centre . A minimum number of participants must be reached for this service to be offered.

  • The apprentice program at the Nautical Centre is an opportunity for youth to develop nautical skills through volunteering.

    They learn through mentorship in the following positions:

    • Equipment attendant
    • Welcome clerk
    • Camp Animator

    * The mentorship is not a promise of employment for later years, but a competitive advantage and enriching field experience for the apprentice.

    Period and schedule

    From July 1st to September 1st

    Work shift from Monday to Sunday, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (at least 15 hours a week)

    Registration

    Until mid-May at the Centre culturel G.-P. Vanier registration for the Nautical Center coordination team or by e-mail at centre.nautique@ville.chateauguay.qc.ca.

    Places are limited. Bring your CV when you register. Telephone interviews will begin in late May.

    Target participants

    14- to 16-year-olds

    (6 to 8 teens will be selected)
