Winter 2022 Program: Partial Resumption of Recreational and Cultural Activities

Châteauguay, January 28, 2022 – The Ville de Châteauguay is pleased to announce the partial resumption of its recreational and cultural activities, in compliance with the health measures established by the government and the Public Health Department.
Cultural, Sports and Recreational Courses and Workshops
Courses and workshops will begin on Monday, January 31. Only youth activities (for those aged 17 and under) are currently allowed. Those who previously registered for such activities will receive a personal email reminding them of the date and time of the activity. We can confirm that the following activities are scheduled to restart: Music (piano and guitar), Theatre, Early Childhood Music, Dance workshops, Skating for Beginners, Babysitting Skills, Home Alone and Safe, Cooking for Kids, Art Workshops and Kids’ English.
The Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge is open to the public with regular hours. Scheduled youth activities will also resume on Monday, January 31. Because of health measures, these activities have reduced capacity, so advance registration is required.
Film screenings scheduled for the Ciné-club Châteauguay will resume on Monday, February 7. We would like to remind you that mask-wearing and physical distancing are mandatory. Due to the health measures in effect, three screenings per day will be offered, at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Note that the first two films for January, Maria Chapdelaine and Délicieux, have been rescheduled and will be shown on April 25th and May 2nd. Shows – Château Scènes Program
The government has announced the possibility of opening performance halls at 50% capacity starting on February 7. Château Scènes will launch its season with the two performances of Mariana Mazza’s show on February 9 and 10. All ticket holders will be contacted in the coming days, by phone or email, to inform them of the new procedure that has been established to ensure that spectators have the safest and most pleasant experience possible. Public Skating – Centre Multisport
Public skating at the Centre Multisport will resume on Tuesday, February 8. A maximum of 25 people will be allowed on the ice at the same time. Reservations for time slots are required. Please call 450 698-3100.
For all activities offered by the Ville, with the exception of the Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge, citizens aged 13 and above are required to show their vaccine passport. For additional information, please visit the Ville’s website at ville.chateauguay.qc.ca.
