On the night of August 1, at around 4:45 a.m., a major fire in a residential building located on rue Olivier Ouest in Châteauguay required the intervention of firefighters from Service de sécurité incendie de Châteauguay. The fire caused extensive damage to more than three residences. Fortunately, the citizens were able to evacuate without injury. Service de sécurité incendie de Châteauguay called firefighters from Service de la Régie intermunicipale d’incendie de Saint-Constant et Sainte-Catherine, La Prairie and Beauharnois for help.
