Like several other municipalities in Quebec, Châteauguay was affected by strong winds during the night of Saturday, December 11 to Sunday, December 12. The gusts damaged many trees in addition to cutting off electricity for several citizens. Fortunately, power has been restored to the vast majority of residences. Hydro-Quebec employees are doing their utmost to restore power throughout the city. As of Tuesday, December 14 in the morning, about thirty homes are still without power.
