Free self-service distribution of compost and wood chips

Distribution of wood chips

You can collect free wood chips at two places:

  • Public Works building, close to the recreational vehicle dump station (220 boulevard Industriel);
  • 500 chemin Saint-Bernard, close to the water purification plant.

Wood chips are regularly deposited following tree shredding operations. You can take what you need!

Distribution of compost

The distribution of compost is available in the spring for no charge at the Public Works building, close to the recreational vehicle dump station.

This initiative is aimed at thanking residents for participating on a wide-scale in organic waste collections. It also forms part of the environmental protection and sustainable development goal advocated by Ville de Châteauguay.

Compost supplies exhausted

Following the huge success of our distribution of compost, the supplies are now exhausted.

Thank you for participating in such large numbers and we look forward to seeing you next spring!

Instructions
