Door-to-door solicitation
A permit is required to carry out door-to-door sales of goods and services or any other form of residential solicitation, whether of a commercial, social or other nature.
Have the following documents on hand:
- a summary description of the products or services to be offered for sale;
- resolution of the Municipal Council;
- copy of the door-to-door sales permit issued by the Office de la protection du consommateur.

In person:
Bring all required documents to the Division inspection et permis, at City Hall, where your application will be processed.
Have the following documents on hand:

- resolution of the Municipal Council;
- copy of the door-to-door sales permit issued by the Office de la protection du consommateur.

Conditions of issurance
Any person who asks for donations in the City must obtain prior authorization from the Municipal Council recorded in a resolution.
For itinerant sellers and peddlers
Solicitation for 30 days or less
Solicitation for 30 days or less | $400 |
Solicitation for 31 to 60 days | $500 |
Solicitation for 60 days or more | $600 |
For non-profit organizations or those recognized by the Municipal Council
Solicitation for 30 days or less | Free |

Door-to-door sales and any other form of solicitation are regulated throughout the municipality with respect to:
- door-to-door salespeople and peddlers;
- non-profit organizations;
- solicitation periods;
- permits;
- other organizations subject to exceptions.
