Flyers, print advertising and newspapers

A permit is required to distribute any advertising material anywhere in the City, including flyers, print advertising and newspapers.

APPLICATION

Complete the permit application form and provide the following information:

  • first and last name, address and telephone number of distributor;
  • number of assistant permits required;
  • type of advertising material the distributor wants to distribute;
  • area in which the distributor intends to distribute the advertising materials;
  • a declaration from the distributor indicating that they will comply with the stipulations of this by-law and will take the requested measures to ensure that all assistants also comply with them;
  • signature of the applicant.

Bring all required documents to the Division inspection et permis, at City Hall, 5, boulevard D’Youville, where your application will be processed.

COST OF PERMIT
  • Distributor permit: $50
  • Assistant permit: $5
PERMIT IS VALID FOR

Twelve months

COMPLIANCE WITH BY-LAWS

There are many standards that apply to the distribution of advertising materials, including:

  • identification of the distributor on the material;
  • distribution period and type of distribution, such as flyers;
  • prohibited forms of distribution.
