Flyers, print advertising and newspapers
A permit is required to distribute any advertising material anywhere in the City, including flyers, print advertising and newspapers.
Complete the permit application form and provide the following information:
- first and last name, address and telephone number of distributor;
- number of assistant permits required;
- type of advertising material the distributor wants to distribute;
- area in which the distributor intends to distribute the advertising materials;
- a declaration from the distributor indicating that they will comply with the stipulations of this by-law and will take the requested measures to ensure that all assistants also comply with them;
- signature of the applicant.

Bring all required documents to the Division inspection et permis, at City Hall, 5, boulevard D’Youville, where your application will be processed.

Twelve months
There are many standards that apply to the distribution of advertising materials, including:
- identification of the distributor on the material;
- distribution period and type of distribution, such as flyers;
- prohibited forms of distribution.
