Report a problem: Illegal parking
Please consult the page on Parking – winter and streetside to find out the city by-laws and procedures.
When you report a problem relating to parking, your request is forwarded to the public works team or the police depending on the type of problem.
Five ways to report a problem:

Report a problem by email
Report a problem by sending an email to:

What to state in the email:
- If possible, attach one or two photos of the problem.
- A close-up photo.
- A large photo which shows the problem in relation to the neighbouring houses or buildings.
- State the address of the closest house or building to the problem.
- Add details if necessary, for example the danger level of the problem for residents.
- State your name and your phone number (optional).
- If possible, attach one or two photos of the problem.

Report a problem by phone
Information to provide to the citizen services team:
- Precise location of the problem: near which house or building? Corner of which street? Which side of the street?
- Brief description of the problem: is the problem dangerous for residents?

Report a problem in person
We recommend that you report problems by phone, email or via the Châteauguay – MyAccount application.
You can also report a problem in person at the service desk at city hall.
