Procedure for obtaining a snow removal contractor's permit

The contractor has to:

  1. duly complete and sign the Permis d’entrepreneur en déneigement form;
  2. send the form as well as the required documents to the Permits department by email at inspection.permis@ville.chateauguay.qc.ca or in person at 5, boulevard D’Youville, Châteauguay , more precisely:
    • proof of general and civil liability insurance for the minimum amount of $1 million; 
    • a copy of the registration of each vehicle entered on the form.

Upon receipt, the application will be processed by a building inspector who will contact the applicant, once the permit is issued, to invite the applicant to sign it, pay the fee and leave the security deposit check.
