Street and Sidewalk Maintenance

Road Marking

In summer, we refresh the lines on the roads. This operation involves two separate processes:

  • Lines drawn by a road striping vehicle, mainly for lines separating traffic lanes and demarcating the shoulder
  • Lines drawn manually with templates, such as crosswalks, directional arrows, stop lines, etc.

The application methods and paint used meet the standards issued by the Ministère des Transports du Québec.

The air temperature must be between 10ºC and 32ºC and the road surface must be free of debris, sand, rocks and dust. The drying time for the paint is about 10 to 15 minutes, and it must not rain in the hour following application.
