Sunday, May 26 : Triathlon de Châteauguay La Fierté

Ville de Châteauguay is proud to announce that it will hold a major triathlon on Sunday, May 26, starting at 8 a.m. at the Agora (75 boulevard Maple). The challenge will include a swimming leg at the Polydium, and the cycling and running legs will take place on the bike paths along the shores of the Châteauguay River. It is open to many age categories from age 4 to adult. A duathlon segment, consisting of two running races combined with a bike race, is also offered for those aged 12 and up who do not want to swim. Beginners and professionals, everyone is invited!

"This is a great opportunity to demonstrate our expertise in organizing a major sporting event, involving mobilized citizens and organizations working all together with our teams at the City. It will also accentuate the seriousness of our initiative to host the Quebec Games in 2022. ", said Pierre-Paul Routhier, Mayor of Châteauguay.

Simplified registration

Registration is now made with the popular athletic platform RaceRoaster, which makes the process easier. Costs vary between $29 and $52 depending on the participant’s age. Participation medals and special triathlon shirts will be given to all participants on the day of the event.

The organizers are also looking for volunteers who want to get involved. For more information or to become a volunteer, we encourage you to contact Bruno Bergevin by phone at 450 698-3136, by email at bruno.bergevin@ville.chateauguay.qc.ca or to show up at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier (15 boulevard Maple). Registration platform is available on our website at www.ville.chateauguay.qc.ca/en/triathlon-2019.

Come to swim, run, and cycle. For motivation, bring your family, friends, neighbours and participate at your own pace!
