Châteauguay plans to launch its outdoor ice rinks for the 2020-2021 winter season

Published on 21 December 2020

The Ville de Châteauguay is currently starting to plan the reopening of outdoor ice rinks for the 2020-2021 season.

Given the current pandemic, it is completely normal that residents are very keen to take part in winter activities such as outdoor skating alone or with their family bubble. In spite of their expertise and goodwill, our teams working on opening the ice rinks are reliant on weather conditions. To make sure that we meet all requirements to create a smooth ice rink surface, there needs to be snowfall on the ground before spraying water and several consecutive days and nights at -10°C. Unfortunately, the warm spell over the last few days and upcoming days has delayed the ice rink preparation work.

To find out all activities on offer, please go to our website at ville.châteauguay.qc.ca/quoi-faire-pendant-les-fetes or our Facebook page at facebook.com/Chateauguay.
